Robert Brian Dilts (born March 21, 1955) is an American author, trainer, and consultant in the field of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). Since the emergence of NLP in the 1970s, he has played a key role in its development and global dissemination.
Career and Contributions:
Contribution to the development of NLP: As a member of the original NLP working group around John Grinder and Richard Bandler, Dilts was deeply involved in shaping the method. He collaborated closely with figures like Milton H. Erickson and Gregory Bateson, whose approaches greatly influenced his work.
Systemic NLP: Dilts integrated systemic therapy approaches with NLP, leading to the creation of "Systemic NLP", which views individual change processes in the context of larger systems.
Modeling of geniuses: He analyzed the thought and behavior patterns of exceptional individuals such as Leonardo da Vinci, Albert Einstein, and Walt Disney to make their creativity and problem-solving strategies understandable and teachable.
